Dear Parent/Carer We would like to invite you to a meeting of our Aboriginal Education Team to take place at the school on Wed 27th March at 12.30 PM. The team consists of students, parents, carers, community members and staff from both the primary and secondary schools. The long term goals of the team are to improve educational outcomes for aboriginal students and to develop a stronger indigenous cultural presence in the school.  At this meeting we would like to discuss: ·         Proposal for a 2019 Bundjalung Language Program ·         Design and location of an outdoor yarning circle ·         Ideas for Bundjalung language names for our year 7 and 8 classes ·         Development of Bundjalung language signage for the school ·         Development of house banners for Primary and Secondary ·         Ideas for Bundjalung day/Naidoc week celebrations ·         Any other ideas, concerns and/or feedback   Please contact us on 6689 1355 if you have any further questions or if you are unable to attend and have some ideas you would like to have raised at the meeting. Please RSVP to the school if you intend to attend. On the day, please sign in at the front office, where someone will be on hand to bring you to our meeting. A light lunch will be provided.
